On Intimate Spaces
There’s something intimate about the spaces we return to each day ~ the corners that hold our rituals, our rest, and the moments where we feel most ourselves.
In celebrating the beauty of bedrooms, we stepped inside the world of @bellathomas, where morning light, well-loved books and crumpled linen set the scene. We spoke with Bella about the rituals that keep her grounded, finding a deeper appreciation for her body, and the simple pleasure of allowing time to slow down.

I'd hope it would tell a story of someone who finds comfort in the ordinary. A place that's well lived in rather than perfectly styled. Books by the bed, crumpled linen, curtains left open to let in the morning light, and a space that invites you to slow down.
Saturday mornings. I stay in bed a little longer than usual, make a coffee or matcha and read a few chapters of my book. There's nowhere to rush off to, and it feels like one of the few moments each week where time really does slow down.
During winter I've been slowing my mornings down a little. I make a cup of herbal tea and sit in the morning sun with my dog before the day properly begins. Then I'll move my body in some way, whether it's a walk, a run or strength training. They're small rituals, but they help me feel grounded and connected to myself before I'm on the clock for anyone else.
I've always felt lucky to have a fairly positive relationship with my body. More recently, though, I've found myself appreciating it less for how it looks and more for everything it does for me each day. Our bodies carry us through so much. I feel most at home in mine when I feel well, physically, mentally and emotionally.
