To keep your Indigo Luna pieces looking their best, we recommend turning the garment inside out and washing on a cold gentle cycle with like colours, using natural detergent. Please think about utilising a full load and using your grey water wisely. Consider using a GUPPYFRIEND to minimise microfibre pollution.
Plant-based detergents are best, but any natural detergent that does not contain synthetic chemicals or citrus juice are recommended. Strong chemicals or fragrances can cause discolouration and/or the natural fibers to weaken. Do not use Soap Berries, as a natural active ingredient may cause the dye to run.
To hand wash your garments, place them into cold soapy water and give it a gentle swirl wash. Drain the water into a nearby plant (if possible) and refill with clean, cold water. Rinse your garment by swishing it around a few more times, and then gently press it to remove excess water.
Do not wash with towels and try not to wring or crush the garment, as this can distort its shape and cause extra stress on the dye.
To dry, lay your garment flat in a shady area away from direct sunlight as this may cause discolouration. If using a dryer, choose a low-heat setting. You can gently steam or iron on low heat, just take extra care.
