To honor these rhythms, Emma Robles has created a collection of nourishing drinks inspired by the moonphases within us. Gentle rituals to sip, savor, and align with the season of your body.

From the blossoming energy of the follicular phase to the grounding embrace of menstruation, each recipe is a reminder that nature is always supporting us. In bloom, in fullness, in release, and in rest.

Follicular Phase

Rose, Rosa


Rose helps tonify the womb after menstruation. She stimulates the blooming of follicles in our body just like the flowers in spring.



Rose Latte:

⟡ 1 cup hot water

⟡ 1 tbsp rose petals

⟡ 1/4 cup milk of choice

⟡ 1 tsp rose powder

⟡ 2 tsp raw honey

⟡ 1/4 tsp vanilla


Directions:

Steep the rose petals in hot water for 5 minutes then strain. Froth the milk, rose powder, honey, and vanilla then combine. Top with extra petals and enjoy.


Ovulatory Phase

Blue Butterfly Pea Flower, Clitoria ternatea


The potent blue gifts our bodies antioxidants, supporting the fruition within us at ovulation.



⟡ 1 cup hot water

⟡ 1 tbsp damiana

⟡ 1/4 cup milk of choice

⟡ 1 tsp blue butterfly pea flower powder

⟡ 1/4 tsp vanilla

⟡ 2 tsp raw honey


Directions:

Steep the damiana in hot water for 5 minutes then strain. Froth the milk, powder, honey, and vanilla then combine. Top with extra flowers and enjoy.

Luteal Phase

Mugwort, Artemesia Vulgaris


Mugwort, also known as moonwort, helps break up stagnation and warm the womb to promote easeful menstruation. This herb has an affinity for the blood and water within our bodies. Mugwort elicits powerful, prophetic dreaming during the liminal states of late luteal phase.


Mugwort Matcha

⟡ 1 tsp dried mugwort

⟡ 1 tsp peppermint

⟡ 1 cup hot water

⟡ 1 ounce cool water

⟡ 1 tsp ceremonial matcha powder

⟡ 1/4 cup milk of choice

⟡ 2 tsp raw honey

⟡ Splash of vanilla


Directions: 

Add your mugwort and peppermint to your hot water and steep for 2 minutes. Strain into a mug then set aside. Sift your matcha into a bowl and pour the cool water over. Whisk until smooth and frothy. Add your milk, vanilla, and honey into a cup and froth with an electric frother. Add the matcha into the brewed herbal infusion and mix. Add your frothed milk and enjoy.

Menstrual Phase

Crampbark, Viburnum Opulus


Cramp bark roots and sedates the womb to ease painful periods and promote a healthy, pain free flow.


⟡ 4 tbsp crampbark

⟡ 2 tbsp chamomile

⟡ 1 tbsp ginger

⟡ 1 tbsp dried tulsi


Add all herbs to a quart sized jar and pour hot water over. Steep for 15 minutes. Strain and optionally add honey. Sup on throughout the day to ease cramps.
